The First Time I Made Money Online

I can still remember the first time I made my first cheque online was when I was still studying for my diploma. The first cheque I had received back then was fifty Singapore dollars, after participating in online surveys. I was very happy because that was my first time making money online. I had never thought that I could actually earn money through the internet.

When I was in my first year in polytechnic, I had a small financial problem and I wondered if there was to make money. Studying a diploma in information technology required me to spend a lot of time on the computer, surfing the internet to look for information. I considered a possibility of making money through the internet to increase my own pocket money. I did a search on the internet which led me to websites on making money through the internet. However most of them required payment for their services or products. I could not afford to buy any services or products back then so I did further searches on making free money through the internet.

Some people might think that there are lots of scams when making money online. This is because they may have been scammed or cheated before and hence do not really trust making money online. I was hesitant upon seeing those websites talking about scams but I could not give up because I was in desperate of money. Eventually, I chanced upon a website from Singapore. Being Singaporean myself, I gave my full trust to that website. The company which set up that website is still functioning.

The website was about getting paid for doing online surveys. So I gave it a try. I signed up for a free account and did the profile surveys. After sometime, I received more surveys to do. The more surveys I did the more points I got. Soon, I ended up doing many surveys. At one instant, I wanted to take a look at the amount of points I earned and if they could be exchanged for cash. I was surprised to see that I could exchange my points for twenty five Singapore dollars. Unfortunately, I could not withdraw it because there was a minimum requirement of fifty dollars which had to be met first. It took some time but I managed to build up sufficient points in my account to meet the requirement. After exchanging the points, I requested for a withdrawal of fifty dollars.

I only received the cheque after a couple of days but I did not bank it in. Instead, I kept it in a file and brought it to show my friends. When I recounted the money making process, most of them did not want to listen and most did not believe me.

From that day on, I strongly believe that making money through the internet is possible. I have attended a few classes on internet marketing as well. I cannot say that I know everything, though, because technology and the internet keep changing so I have to keep myself up to date and continue to educate myself more.
